Getting back to our farming roots

Prosperity Acres has had the most interesting week.  In finding family photos dating back to the late 1920’s and the early 1930’s we have found life long residents of the Calvert County community that know our family history.  Our family heritage is deeply rooted here in beautiful Calvert County Maryland.  It is wonderful for the children to be able to speak with people that know their relatives as children and the farm they grew up on.  Living the farm life and raising tobacco is in our blood.  We are focused on a different type of farm life for this generation and that is to raise the highest quality beef and goat meat possible for our customers and to teach our customers why it is important to support the buy local campaign and the younger generation of Farmer.

We are striving for the best possible genetics in our breeding stock to pass that quality of meat on to the consumer.  We feel that what you eat has a direct link to your health.  We believe in the saying “you are what you eat”.  Get to know the people that raise your food, become their friend, visit their farm and see how your food is being raised, ask questions about their practice of care of the animals or fresh produce.  We believe that people genuinely like to tell you their story if you take the time to ask.  Our family in particular loves to tell you about our practice of raising our animals and how that benefits your health and if you are looking for ways to release your stress we can help with that also.  Mary is a Health Coach that specializes in stress relief for business professionals and personal life.  Learn to eat as natural as possible and let go of your stress for a happy healthy life.

Get back to your roots of eating natural farm fresh, support your local farmer.
