From our farm to your table!

Active Faith means what?

Have you ever pondered what active faith means?  I have pondered it many times.

Running a farming operations depends on so many variables which leads to questioning  my faith in myself in the grand scheme of things.  Weather plays a huge factor when farming.

But I can’t control the weather you say.

No, I can’t control the weather but when working in the rain it sure does make you wonder why couldn’t the sun be out today.  But then I remember that vegetation doesn’t grow on sun alone.  Active faith says…that even in the rain God is in control.

Last week the weather was dark and rainy but the customer was waiting for the goats to be moved.  Operating a farm operation my ideal customer is always on the forefront of my mind.  I enjoy being of service to others and I think that is a huge part of having active faith.  I rely on God to show me the way but I must be willing to walk that way.  I promise to always walk with God and to boldly open the doors that are presented to me even when I feel like giving up.

Fear is a terrible thing that we let run our lives.  Why are we so afraid of failure?

I personally think it is because we are afraid of being judged.  I don’t understand why people are so quick to want to be happy when you fail.  I think we should be taught as children that failure is a healthy part of life and that we have so many valuable lessons because of it.

There is never a dull moment when farming so I must have active faith that things always turn out for my best even when I don’t know what that is.  I’ve given up trying to control everything on the farm because it doesn’t work.  There are lots of times I feel like throwing in the towel because I think I’m not brave enough for this.  God slips in and says no I’m right here walking with you, you’ve got this.

I believe putting my best foot forward no matter what the situation is the only way to live life.

I give thanks numerous times a day as little reminders appear that with active faith I have a grand life serving others through my farm.  Join my [mailerlite_form form_id=8] newsletter to receive bi-weekly inspiration and healthy living tips and news.
