We received a call today from Julie White a writer for the Hereford World Magazine to write a story about our experience loosing our home to the fire.  She was so nice and the gist of the conversation was about the Hereford Family.  Not only did we receive an overwhelming support from our friends and family once we got back home, but the support was really overwhelming as we were at Hereford Junior Nationals showing our cattle when the fire broke out.

Julie asked what did we think of the Hereford Family.  I told her like it is, that they have huge hearts, very caring and compassionate people to go out of their way to help us and didn’t even know us.  They have been extremely supportive of our children and that is why we continue to show and own Hereford cattle is because how much The Family supports children to be all they can be.  Our children have learned a lot about how you treat other people and strangers in particular because of how The Hereford Family has treated us with such an open heart.

All the support, care, compassion and helping hands for the last 10 months of our lives has been such a blessing and very moving.  You covered our backs during this time in our life, know that we have your back in your time of need.  We will continue to raise Hereford cattle and love showing them, but most of all teaching the public why meat is good, especially local meat and that Hereford’s are the efficiency experts.  As Edward goes off to college in the fall to Culinary School he so looks forward to educating people in the restaurant industry about his love for the Hereford Cattle.
